According to the article, the Index of Economic Freedom rankings for 2023 put Vietnam 72nd out of 176 countries and territories with 61.8 points, 1.2 points higher than last year.

Vietnam ranks 14th out of 39 Asia-Pacific countries and territories, and its achievements are above the world and regional average.

But the article said Vietnam’s ranking is not as important as the growth of its economy, and if it continues the "Doi Moi" (Renewal) initiated in 1986, Vietnam has a good chance of becoming one of the strongest economies in the world.
