Mr. Man said that, as Chairman of the NA in the 11th and 12th tenures, NA deputy in the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th tenures, President of the State, and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Mr. Trong has always paid special attention to and given comprehensive leadership and comprehensive and in-depth direction to the organization and operation of the NA.

According to Chairman Man, the Vietnamese NA, under the leadership of the Party with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the helm, has made strides in the right direction in recent tenures, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of its operation, strongly upholding democracy and the rule of law, and fully exercising the people’s right of mastery.

General Secretary Trong devoted much attention to the research, assessment, and review of the process of reforming the NA’s organization and operation and building a law-governed socialist State in Vietnam. By drawing out key issues, he contributed to consolidating and developing the Party’s theories on the socialist rule-of-law State and the reform of the NA’s organization and operation.

Party leader Trong believed the NA must stay close to the people, grasp the thoughts, aspirations, and legitimate demands of the people, and listen to and fully reflect the people’s will and aspirations, to ensure that the NA will always make the right decision and be the highest representative body of the people.
