Speaking at the event, the Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General To Lam highlighted the important role of the security forces in ensuring national security and social order. He asked the General Political Department and related agencies and localities to develop measures to strengthen the security sector. Lam stressed the need to improve the quality and the position of the security force.  To mark the occasion, President Tran Dai Quang presented the General Political Department of the Ministry of Public Security with the Feat-of-Arm Order, first class.
