Hundreds of Palestinians have been injured including at least 82 people transferred to hospital. Tensions have been running high in the Gaza strip since March 30, which marked the start of a series of protests dubbed “The Great March of Return” after the US moved its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. In recent weeks, Egypt and the the UN have made efforts to reach mediated agreement between the Islamic Movement of Hamas and Israel, which includes an extended ceasefire.
