This was the G7's first in-person gathering in nearly two years.
The "Nature Compact," which was announced alongside the G7 joint statement on Sunday, is set to see them commit to nearly halve their carbon emissions by 2030, relative to 2010.
The leaders pledged more financial assistance to developing countries in order to combat the effects of climate change.
Promising to "collectively catalyse" hundreds of billions of infrastructure investment for low- and middle-income countries, the G7 leaders said they would offer a "values-driven, high-standard and transparent" partnership.
