During an online meeting, the group pledged to continue working together to help the world’s poorest countries address the health, social, and economic challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They agreed that the crisis is having a disproportionate impact on women, young people, and other vulnerable segments of society, and an action plan is needed to help diagnose, treat, and develop vaccines for COVID-19. They supported the COVID-19 Vaccine Global Access (COVAX) Initiative proposed by the World Health Organization.
