restarted the hunt for debris from flight MH370 near Reunion Island, its overseas territory in the Indian Ocean, on Sunday, after a two-day halt due to bad weather. A specialized aircraft and patrols were deployed Sunday morning to scour the island’s coastline and surrounding sea area, said local authorities. Inspectors and Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak have declared that the plane component discovered last week was from the missing flight. But the Paris public prosecutor’s office said further investigation is needed.
A Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 disappeared mysteriously on March 8, 2014 while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. The fate of the 227 passengers and 12 crew members remains unknown.
