The 26-day session will review the government’s report on implementing this year’s socio-economic plan, and setting the socio-economic plan, and budget estimates for next year. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said. "The National Assembly will comment on draft revisions to the 1992 Constitution before collecting public feedback on the issue, and will adopt a resolution on votes of confidence for officials elected or appointed by the National Assembly and local People’s Councils. The deputies will debate and vote on nine revised laws on lawyers, electricity, tax management, personal income tax, national reserves, cooperatives, publications, the capital city, and anti-corruption."

Regarding supervisory work, the deputies will look at the implementation of policies and laws on handling complaints and petitions concerning administrative decisions on land and examine reports submitted by the NA’s Ethnic Council and its committees. Q&A sessions will take place as a regular part of the session.

At the session’s opening, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung presented a report on this year’s socio-economic situation and the plan for next year.
