(VOVworld) – A tourism program named “Traveling through heritage areas of Viet Bac” and the 2016 Tuyen Quang City festival opened in Tuyen Quang City on Friday.

A festival on folklore culture and art will be organized with unique performances performed by 700 professional and amateur artists from six provinces in the region.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam praised the efforts by six regional provinces to work with each other to develop tourism.

After 7 years, the tourism cooperation and development program has achieved positive results in joint promotion of tourism products, attraction of domestic and foreign tourists, and investment in infrastructure.
