The administration reported that forestry product export was estimated at 8.5 billion USD for the past 11 months, up 16.6% annually. The principal importers were the US, Japan, the EU, China, and South Korea. The result was attributable to forestry restructuring over the past 5 years, VAF said, adding that Vietnam's forestry has become a fast-growing, stable, and environment-friendly industry.

In the near future, the Forest Law Enforcement Governance and Trade Voluntary Partnership Agreement will benefit VIetnam economically and environmentally, and will contribute to achieving the goal of earning 13 billion USD from wood exports by 2020.
