Foreign Ministers meet ahead of Syria meeting in Paris

(VOVworld) - Foreign ministers representing countries that support the Syrian opposition met in Paris on Monday to prepare for an international meeting on the Syria crisis in New York on December 18. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius received some of the ministers from key allies, including Germany, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Italy, Qatar, Britain, and Turkey.
(VOVworld) - Foreign ministers representing countries that support the Syrian opposition met in Paris on Monday to prepare for an international meeting on the Syria crisis in New York on December 18. French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius received some of the ministers from key allies, including Germany, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Italy, Qatar, Britain, and Turkey.

The meeting content was not revealed but German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said they would mention specific steps to implement a cease-fire in Syria and pave the way for humanitarian aid to Syria.  Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry met on Tuesday in Moscow to draw up a list of terrorist organizations.
The Russian Foreign Ministry reported that in a telephone conversation prior to Kerry’s visit to Moscow on Tuesday, both leaders agreed on the principle of consensus among countries supporting Syria.
