At meetings with EU High Representative for security and foreign policy and Vice President of the European Commission (EC), Josep Borrell and EU High Commissioner in charge of international partnerships, Jutta Urpilainen, Minister Bui Thanh Son proposed that the remaining 10 EU member countries complete the ratification of the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) and that the EC soon remove the IUU yellow card imposed on Vietnam and expand cooperation in climate change response and energy transition, through the framework of the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) and the EU Global Gateway Strategy.

At meetings with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Bulgaria, Mariya Gabriel, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares Bueno, Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis, and Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, Minister Son expressed his hope that European countries will ratify the EVIPA and support the EC's early removal of yellow card for Vietnamese seafood and expand cooperation in energy transition, green development, and high-tech infrastructure construction.
