(VOVworld)- The world public has paid special attention to China’s deployment of its oil rig Haiyang 981 in Vietnam’s waters. Over the past few days, foreign and domestic correspondents have arrived in Hoang Sa to cover the situation in the East Sea. Speaking to a VOV reporter, Toshihiro Yatagal, Head of Japan’s Kyodo News in Bangkok, Thailand said that he was concerned about this issue because it was not an issue of Vietnam and China, but it related to international maritime. The reporter said that China’s actions in the East Sea have increased the tension in the region: “Arriving on the island, I have seen many Chinese ships being deployed in the region. I was surprised and even shocked to see that scene. I saw that whenever Vietnamese ships came closer to the oil rig, China immediately prevented them, about 4 to 5 Chinese ships were deployed to prevent a Vietnamese ship. China should not take such actions in the region”.

Hoang Dinh Nam, a reporter of the AFP in Hanoi has arrived in Hoang Sa. He has taken several photos about the situation in the East Sea: “Over the past 5 days on Hoang Sa, which is near the place where China deployed its oil rig and many other escort vessels, I have witnessed how China violated Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone. China was perverse when it deployed big ships to Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone”.
