(VOVWORLD) - Approximately 70,000 foreigners visited Hanoi over the last three days. Major destinations included Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Temple of Literature, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, the Vietnam Military History Museum and the walking area around Hoan Kiem Lake.

This is my first visit to Hanoi. It’s a busy city with a lot of motorcycles and cars. I have tried a number of Vietnamese pancakes with beef. They are nice. I’m very happy to welcome the New Year in such a warm country as Vietnam,”  said Brazilian tourist Mariana.

Evaul Wander and Sandra Wander from the Netherlands liked the New Year atmosphere in Vietnam.

“I know that actual New Year in Vietnam is in February or Tet holiday but I like the way the Vietnamese celebrate the New Year. What we did yesterday. We went to an actual Vietnamese home”, said Evaul Wander.

“I like the local people. They are friendly and helpful. Everyone is smiling and sincere. They cut my hair, very nice. Though it rained, I like the warm weather and places in Vietnam”, said Sandra Wander
