Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai speaks at a ceremony which Ford Vietnam announces an 82 million USD expansion of the Hai Duong assembly facility.

Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai said the expansion attaches great importance to the realization of the development strategy of Vietnam’s automobile industry and boosting FDI enterprises’ operations. He said the Ministry will work with Ford Vietnam to help Vietnamese businesses get more deeply involved in the automobile industry.

The additional investment will bring Ford’s total investment in Vietnam to more than 200 million USD. The new investment will be in two stages starting this year, with completion scheduled for mid-2022.
