(VOVworld) – The first national unity roundtable meeting took place at the Ukrainian Parliament building Wednesday to discuss constitutional reforms, power decentralisation, anti-corruption measures, and economic and humanitarian policies.

The meeting was initiated by Ukrainian caretaker President Aleksander Turchynov and interim Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk.  Addressing the event, Yatsenyuk said the most important mission of the Kiev government now is to preserve peace and resolve differences through communication and dialogue. Yatsenyuk noted that the up-coming presidential election must be fair and transparent.
