Nearly 100 maps and several publications written by Vietnamese and foreign historians and researchers are on display. They include transcribed versions of the original Chinese-Vietnamese and French documents published by Vietnamese feudal regimes and the French government in Indochina from the 17
th to the 20
th century.
The documents confirmed Vietnam’s sovereignty and activities to protect its sovereignty over the Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagos such as the Hoang Sa marine war on January 19
th, 1974. Old Chinese maps and atlas at the exhibition show that China had not managed Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos. The exhibition will open until December 19.
