(VOVworld) – An exchange with foreign friends to mark 40th anniversary of southern liberation and national reunification was held on Thursday in Ho Chi Minh city.

The event held by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and Ho Chi Minh city’s Union of Friendship Organizations attracted more than 100 foreign guests and historical witnesses who took part in the war against American imperialists. The participants reviewed historical events and war memories. The foreign delegates congratulated Vietnam for its successful organization of the ceremony to mark 40th anniversary of Southern liberation and national reunification and hailed Vietnam’s achievements over the past years. They showed their support to Vietnam’s efforts to overcome the war aftermath and boost national construction and development.
