The events will begin with a memorial service for heroic martyrs at Sui Pagoda in Hanoi on Thursday, and will continue with a journey to border points like Mui Doi, A Pa Chai, Ca Mau, and Lung Cu flag tower. These activities also highlight a collective will to preserve our forebears’ legacy by contributing to national development and defense.
An essay competition called “Writing the next chapter of pride” for Vietnamese citizens was also announced on Wednesday.
Dai Doan Ket’ editor-in-chief Nguyen Van Dung said: “We hope that these events will promote the enduring values, resilience, and characters that Vietnamese people are known for. Everyone can tell stories that made them felt proud of their homeland and contribute to the next chapter of national rise with concrete actions.”
Submissions will open from July 25 to September 25, 2025.
