This includes both bilateral transfers of defensive military equipment by individual member states and funding from the European Peace Fund, with a total of 5.6 billion euros.

Among EU member states, Germany leads in supplying weapons to Ukraine with approximately 7.5 billion euros worth of weapons since last February. Following Germany, countries such as Poland, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Sweden have also increased their military spending on Ukraine to over 1 billion euros. The European Commission is currently planning additional support programs for Kyiv from 2024 to 2027, spanning a four-year period. 

German Finance Minister Christian Lindner announced during his visit to Kyiv on Monday the intention to provide Ukraine with 5 billion euro in military aid annually until 2027. However, this decision still requires approval from the German Parliament. Lindner said that in addition to military aid, Berlin will also provide humanitarian aid to Kyiv, support internally displaced Ukrainians, and contribute to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Earlier, Germany also announced the extension of state guarantees for investments in Ukraine.
