"All EU member states and NATO allies should collectively and individually commit to supporting Ukraine militarily, with no less than 0.25% of their GDP annually," says the document.
The EP called for the EU and its members to provide aircraft, long-range missiles, modern air defence systems, ammunition, artillery, and training for Ukrainian forces.
EP members welcomed US President Joe Biden's decision to allow Ukraine to use advanced rocket systems on military targets within Russian territory and called for the EU and its members to adopt similar measures.
The EP insisted that "no negotiations about Ukraine can take place without Ukraine". It also urged the EU and its members to actively work toward the broadest possible international support for Ukraine, identifying a peaceful solution to the conflict, and establishing the necessary conditions for holding a second Summit on Peace, with the participation of countries from the Global South.
Russia has repeatedly said that military support for Ukraine by Western countries will not change the situation on the battlefield and will only prolong the conflict.
