Germany is the biggest donor with more than 4 million doses of vaccine. Dr. Guido Hildner, German Ambassador to Vietnam, said that in 2022, Germany will continue to work with Vietnam in the fight against the pandemic’s impacts and will provide the next batch of vaccines through COVAX. The vaccine batch that has just arrived is the largest batch Germany has donated to Vietnam so far, bringing the total number of Germany’s vaccines for Vietnam to more than 10 million doses.

UK Ambassador to Vietnam Gareth Ward said this batch of vaccines is part of the UK's support for Vietnam’s roadmap to opening up the economy by promoting booster vaccinations on a larger scale. The UK is committed to working with Vietnam in building a new chapter in 2022, a year in which the world can live with COVID-19 in peace and prosperity, he added.

Representatives of the Embassy of Luxembourg and the Embassy of Portugal in Vietnam affirmed that they will continue to help Vietnam’s healthcare to respond to the challenges posed by the pandemic and ensure equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine for the Vietnamese people.
