The EU is the world’s largest free market and has been a boon for the US. The trade dispute between the US and the EU has increased since President Donald Trump announced plans to impose a range of import tariffs in order to address what he described as a trade imbalance.
The US and EU were locked in a trade dispute during President Donald Trump’s first term when he imposed a 25% tariff on steel and a 10% tariff on aluminum imported from Europe.
The EU says it will respond with reciprocal measures.
