(VOVworld)- According to its annual report, the European Union disbursed nearly 500 million euros to Vietnam in 2013. EU’s largest ODA donors for Vietnam in 2013 included Denmark, Germany, the EU delegation, the UK and Belgium. The European Union mainly assisted Vietnam in institutional capacity building, technology transfers, infrastructure development and health care. This year, the EU committed to grant Vietnam nearly 550 million euros, of which 24% is non-refundable aid. In the 2014-2020 period, the EU committed to increase ODA for Vietnam, focusing on sustainable energy and building a state governed by law.
