(VOvworld) - Spain’s foreign minister has said the European Union will likely extend its economic sanctions imposed on Russia for another six months. Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo said on Wednesday that EU members have reached a general consensus on the decision, which came about due to non-compliance with the Minsk agreement.

Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo said on Wednesday that EU members have reached a general consensus on the decision, which came about due to non-compliance with the Minsk agreement.
However, a specific date to announce the extension was not mentioned.
During a brief meeting on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Antalya, Turkey on November 16, leaders of Italy, the US, the UK, Germany, and France agreed to maintain pressure on Russia until July next year.
