EU supports peaceful resolution to East Sea disputes

(VOVWORLD) - The European Union (EU) on Sunday called on related parties to respect freedom of navigation and aviation in the South China Sea (called the East Sea in Vietnam) and resolve disputes on the basis of international laws.

In its statement, the EU reaffirmed its strong protest against any unilateral act that undermines peace, security, and stability in the region. The EU also expressed its support to the ASEAN-led process in forming a Code of Conduct in the East Sea.
