(VOVworld) – The EU announced 700-million-euros in emergency aid for Greece and other states to help them manage the biggest refugee crisis since World War 2.

The money will be allocated over three years - 300 million euros in 2016 and 200 million euros in each of the following years.
If approved by a majority of member states and the European Parliament, this will be the first time the European Parliament has provided humanitarian aid to a member state.
The unprecedented plan is coordinating with the UN and other aid agencies for the first time.
