Chief Observer Alexander Graf Lambsdorff said the election was well organized and Myanmar now needs to maintain transparency in reporting the results. The EU sent 150 observers to supervise 500 polling stations in Myanmar and the team will stay there until December when final election results will be announced.

On Tuesday, Myanmar's Union Election Commission (UEC) announced the names of 179 candidates elected to one of three levels of parliament.
