EU foreign ministers on Monday officially launched a military training mission of 500 people to Mali for 15 months, in order to support Mali’s army. The first 70 advisers went to Mali 10 days ago so they could hit the ground running when the final decision was made. This move is the final stage of establishing the European Union Training Mission (EUTM).
