(VNA) - The European Union (EU) wants to hear Vietnam’s opinions on specific fields for assistance, EU Director General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion Koos Richelles said at a press briefing in Hanoi on Wednesday.

As part of the EU – Vietnam development cooperation programme indicated in the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement, Richelles said the EU is preparing a new assistance programme by 2020. The organisation will review aid recipients’ socio-economic development goals to decide whether they are qualified for official development assistance.
