Ethiopian Airlines operates first direct flight from Africa to Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport on Friday welcomed the first flight of Ethiopian Airlines, which marked the first direct flight from Africa to Vietnam with a frequency of four flights per week.

The opening ceremony at Terminal T2 was attended by Ambassador of Ethiopia Dessie DalDes, representative of Ethiopian Airlines Group, and Nguyen Phuong Tra, Director of the Middle East-Africa Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This historic event opens opportunities to connect Vietnam and Africa - a market full of development potential. Ethiopian Airlines is one of the largest airlines in Africa. Over the past seven years, it has achieved the title of "Best Airline in Africa" with a steady growth in the number of flights.
