Experts from the EPS Vietnam Office and the Foreign Workers Support Center of Ansan City gave legal consultation to a large number of EPS Vietnam employees working in Gyeonggi and neighboring provinces.

Head of EPS Vietnam Office in South Korea Pham Minh Duc disseminated new policies and laws related to EPS labor and answered questions about contracts, salaries, paying and receiving insurance, procedures for liquidation of contracts and receiving deposit back in Vietnam.

The Vietnam Labor Administration in South Korea said there are 205,000 Vietnamese people living, studying and working in South Korea, of whom 27,000 people are working under the EPS Program.

The Employment Permit System (EPS), which was established in 2004 by the Korean Ministry of Employment and Labor, is a temporary labor migration scheme for workers from 15 countries with which Korea has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
