The conference encouraged tourism investment in Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak provinces. Binh Dinh province announced an adjustment to its tourism development plan to 2020 with a vision to 2030, which includes 45 key tourism projects with a total investment capital of 1.6 billion USD. Nguyen Van Tuan, General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said Binh Dinh province has managed to build a chain of high-quality tourism products, but needs to improve its human resources and become a safer and friendlier tourist destination. Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan said: “It’s essential to establish two tourism development hubs: Quy Nhon city and Phuong Mai archipelago. Phuong Mai will be designated for developing sea resort tourism. Marine tourism is closely linked with cultural tourism in Binh Dinh province”.
