Presiding over a meeting with the subcommittees of the National Election Council in Hanoi on Thursday, the top legislator said this is the crucial stage for the success of the election.
“I request that we absolutely not be complacent or negligent but focus intensely to ensure that the election takes place democratically, legally, safely, and truly as a festival for the entire nation. I urge a review of all preparations for Election Day. The Subcommittees and Office of the National Election Council must continue to coordinate closely with localities to inspect all stages of the election process: from voter lists, candidate lists, election materials, facilities at polling stations to the organization at each polling station. Special attention must be paid to remote areas, border regions, islands, early voting areas, and areas with difficult conditions for early voting,” Mr. Man added.

Vietnam has 79 million voters, who will cast their ballots in more than 72,000 polling stations nationwide with the election organization system fully prepared from the central to the grassroots level, the National Election Council said at the meeting.
The NA Chairman required that absolute security and safety be ensured, the media continue to promote the significance of the election, and the Office of the National Election Council coordinate closely with the subcommittees and relevant agencies to establish a system for monitoring, updating information, and compiling election results nationwide.
