A presidential source told Al-Ahram daily news website that President Morsi plans to dispatch two of his aids to open talks with the opposition National Salvation Front (NSF) and other political youth movements. One presidential aid will be tasked with meeting NSF leaders in an effort to persuade them to take part in talks on national dialogue. The second aide will meet with a number of political youth movements with the aim of setting a timetable for holding meetings with the presidency. The NSF has so far boycotted talks organized by Morsi until the presidency meets a number of preconditions including a cabinet reshuffle, the dismissal of some prosecutions and the launch of an investigation into recent political violence.
