The Egyptian National Salvation Front (NSF) will participate in the coming referendum on Egypt’s controversial draft constitution on Saturday, said former Arab League Chief Amr Moussa, NSF member, on Wednesday.

The NSF, who was keen to postpone the referendum, has now agreed to vote provided the ballots undergo full judicial supervision. The Government will conduct a weeklong referendum despite nationwide protests and demands for a delay until an agreement is reached.

Voting was already under way at embassies abroad but the domestic process is far from clear

The draft constitution approved by the Egyptian Constituent Assembly last month has triggered the worst political crisis since President Mohamed Morsi took power last June.
