At a reception for UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura on Tuesday, Sisi discussed recent situation in Syria and the UN’s efforts to reach a political solution, which can ensure the territorial integrity of Syria and its regime.

Mistura described Egypt’s role in the Middle East as one of the main pillars of regional stability. He said he wants to increase cooperation and consultation with Cairo to break the current deadlock.
