Other topics included promoting high-tech investment cooperation, innovation, and energy transition, and developing the Halal industry.

Participants said the global economy is undergoing the most challenging and uncertain period in decades, with record-high inflation and interest rates. Strategic competition among major powers is driving the trend of "politicization and securitization" of economic cooperation. In this context, economic diplomacy has played a crucial role  in connecting Vietnamese businesses with foreign markets.

"The Government is promoting economic diplomacy which has created significant momentum for businesses. The seafood industry has strengthened its foothold in four major markets," said Truong Dinh Hoe, Secretary-General of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
"By targeting important markets with high standards, we can develop a sustainable production and processing system, including green development," he added.
Ambassador Nguyen Van Thao, Head of the Vietnam Delegation to Belgium and the EU, emphasized that Vietnamese businesses need a strong determination if they want to survive in the European market.
"The EU is a sustainable and large market. Vietnamese businesses must be more determined to engage in long-term business there. The world is changing rapidly with new trends including green transition. Businesses must adapt, or they will be eliminated," he said.
