More than 16,000 people who have the virus could die if they don’t receive the proper treatment

Speaking at a conference of African Immunologists in Nairobi, Adrian Hill, director of Oxford University's Jenner Institute, said the two vaccines have demonstrated remarkable efficacy and have no side effects for Ebola patients.

The World Health Organization had previously reported that almost 7,000 people have died from Ebola and that more than 16,000 people who have the virus could die if they don’t receive the proper treatment. Large pharmaceutical companies, the governments of various wealthy nations, and multi-national agencies have together raised funds for Ebola vaccinations.
