(VOVworld) - The draft law on Judicial Verification was high on the agenda of a meeting in HCM City on Monday. Representatives from the Justice Ministry and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) shared knowledge and experiences aiming to strengthen the capacity of the verification experts and the practicality of the verification process. Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo, Deputy Minister of Public Security said: “We believe it is necessary to maintain and strengthen the forensic testing system in the public security sector. Forensic testing experts must be equipped with legal knowledge and professional techniques to make sure proper interrogation and judgment. Forensic testing is regarded a key to criminal interrogation”
The two-day meeting with 10 panel discussions provide participants with multi-dimensional feedback for the completion of the draft law on Judicial Verification which will later be submitted to the National Assembly for approval at its 3rd session.
