Chairing a Hanoi meeting held by the Politburo and Secretariat for former Party and State leaders to comment on the draft documents, the Party leader said that to prepare for the Congress, the Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat of the 13th term held many meetings to focus on two momentous tasks: drafting documents to be presented to the Congress and preparing well the Congress personnel.

General Secretary To Lam said, “The documents must be the crystallized wisdom of the entire Party, people, and army. It’s imperative to promote democracy, collective intellectual, the participation and contributions of central agencies, departments, sectors, localities, socio-political organizations and the people, especially the contributions from former Party and State leaders who are intellectually profound in theory and very knowledgeable about practice.”

At the meeting, delegates commented on the political report of the 13th Party Central Committee, the report evaluating five years of implementing the 10-year socio-economic development strategy from 2021 to 2030, directions and tasks for 5-year socio-economic development in the period 2026-2030, summary report on Party building work and enforcement of the Party Charter and summary report on some theoretical and practical issues of national reform over the past 40 years.
