(VOVworld) – A direct air route from Hanoi to Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, has been launched.

At the inaugural ceremony in Nairobi, Vietnam’s ambassador to Tanzania and Kenya, Vo Thanh Nam, underlined the importance of the event, which coincides with the 20th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.

With 3 flights a week, the new route will shorten travel time to 13 hours, boosting trade and tourism and increasing mutual understanding and bilateral friendship.

Ambassador Nam congratulated Kenya Airways as a pioneer in doing business in Vietnam and wished that the company successfully in serving as a bridge between the two countries.
