(VOVword) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh had bilateral meetings with foreign leaders on Saturday, as he is now in Venezuela for the 17th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit.

At a meeting with El Salvadorian President Sanchez Ceren, both sides agreed on the need to speed up negotiation on agreements for lasting and stable cooperation in economics, trade, and investment, while facilitating business projects in such areas as agriculture, trade, processing of agricultural produce, fishery, and telecommunication. Mr. Minh asked El Salvador to soon recognize Vietnam’s market economy.
The Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Minh and Haiti Prime Minister Enex Jean Charles stressed efforts to boost the exchange of delegations and businesses. Haiti wanted that Vietnam send experts to share experiences in rice cultivation to Haiti.
At a meeting with Burundi Foreign Minister Alain Aime Nyamitwe, both sides agreed on further economic cooperation and the signing of the agreement of investment encouragement and protection and the agreement on double taxation.
Deputy Prime Minister Minh and leaders from the three countries agreed to support each other at regional and international forums.
