Dam, who chairs the National Committee for AIDS, Drug, and Prostitution Prevention and Control, addressed a national online conference on Friday to review AIDS prevention and control this year and set out tasks for next year. He said: “We should be aggressive in combating HIV. We shouldn’t be lax, but patient. There are three targets called 90-90-90. 90% of all people living with HIV will know their HIV status. 90% of all people with diagnosed HIV infection will receive sustained antiretroviral therapy. And 90% of all people receiving antiretroviral therapy will have viral suppression. The sustained antiretroviral therapy treatment target will be the most difficult. In addition, drugs should be eliminated and patients should receive Methadone treatment.”

On this occasion, Deputy PM Dam and other leaders pressed the buttons to launch the Methadone treatment management system at  methadone.vaac.gov.vn.
