Representatives of the provinces and cities reported the opinions collected from people from all walks of life. Delegates clarified concepts, planning, land prices, land acquisition, land clearance, and resettlement.

Chairing the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said the law revision is necessary to overcome the limitations and pending issues, make full use of land resources to meet national development needs in the new period.

The revised Land Law will fine-tune the land legal system in line with the socialist-oriented market economy amid international integration, improve land management, and harmonize the rights and interests of the State, land users and investors. It’ll promote the commercialization of land use rights and develop a healthy real estate market, said Mr. Ha.

According to the Deputy PM, the National Assembly and Government have determined the revision a common task and responsibility of the whole political system, state management agencies, the Party and government at all levels.

“To be relevant, the law must address the current difficulties and problems of all local agencies and units and set forth far-sighted, long-term, feasible policies which can liberate land resources,” Ha added.
