Mr. Dam addressed a meeting in Hanoi on Wednesday to mark the Society’s 60-year membership in the Federation and its 71st founding anniversary: “Today, the Vietnam Red Cross Society is popular with its loving volunteers. The Society has provided material and spiritual assistance to the needy and helped protect the environment, respond to climate change, and reduce poverty. It’s important that the volunteers spread humanitarian values across society.”
The Vietnam Red Cross Society currently has nearly 8.5 million members and volunteers.
