Mongolian Deputy Prime Minister Terbishdagva called for closer cooperation on trade, investment, healthcare, and culture during a meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Minh Khoi in Ulan Bator on Monday. Terbishdagva said the Mongolian Government and people wish to deepen ties with Vietnam in a number of fields, adding that both sides should facilitate high-level visits in the near future.
The same day, Khoi attended a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Vietnam–Mongolia diplomatic ties and awarded the Vietnamese State’s Order of Friendship to several Mongolian individuals in honor of their contributions to the Vietnam-Mongolian relationship. Vietnamese ambassador to Mongolia Phan Dang Duong told VOV reporter: “We need to create favorable conditions for the two countries’ ministries and agencies to sign agreements, as a legal basis for economic and trade cooperation. Vietnam and Mongolia need to hold regular meetings of the Intergovernmental Committee on the cooperation fields of economics, trade, and science and technology. We should also review all current cooperation projects promoting the ones with the greatest potential and canceling the ones with no progress.”
Earlier, Khoi met with Mongolian Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Economic Development Damba Gankhuyag, to discuss ways to boost bilateral coordination.
