At a meeting with voters in Ho Chi Minh city’s district 3 on Tuesday, he said the session with a busy agenda was a success. Discussing the socio-economic plan over the past 5 years and tasks for the next 5 years, the National Assembly acknowledged the government’s efforts to weather the impacts of the global economic recession on Vietnam. President Sang stressed voters’ supervisory role: “Voters have commented and appraised the National Assembly’s session, meaning they have directly supervised deputies. This will help the National Assembly perform its full functions in accordance with laws. I have taken notes of your feedback for further considerations”.

In another development, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung met with voters in Can Loc district of the central province of Ha Tinh. Voters proposed the Assembly take measures to solve such problems as corruption, inflation, traffic congestion and accidents.
