(VOVworld) - A parliamentary election in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has ended.

The Korean Central News Agency said on Tuesday that 687 candidates were selected to the 13th Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA). 99.9 percent of registered voters across the country cast ballots. Kim Yong Nam, president of the presidium of the SPA, Choe Ryong Hae, director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People’s Army, and Premier Park Pong Ju are among the newly elected deputies. On Monday, KCNA said Kim Jong Un had won unanimous support in North Korea's parliamentary election.
