(VOVWORLD) - Tien Sa seaport in Danang city on Tuesday welcomed the WanHai 362 container ship, the first on a new route connecting central Vietnam to ports Long Beach and Oakland in the US.

The ship carries fashion products, wood items, toys, and aircraft components.

The new route will reduce shipping time from Danang to Long Beach from 25-28 days to 21 days.

It is expected not only to boost shipping between Vietnam and the US but also between Laos and Cambodia and the US.
